I'm Lucy, mum of two children and a Postnatal Doula based in London, passionate about supporting new mothers and their families in the early days.
Whether it's your first time or your third time each little life and experience is different. It's a time of adjustment for all the family and I believe it's essential that you are properly supported, nurtured and cared for during this period, allowing you time to recover from the birth and concentrate on getting to know your baby.
As a Postnatal Doula, I am there to support you in many different ways, taking away some of the pressures of day to day living. There is no right time to engage with a Postnatal Doula, for some parents, this may be in the early stages of pregnancy planning ahead for the support they might like and for others, it can be whilst they are still at the hospital. Other parents may get in touch when their baby is a few weeks old, but whichever time you choose I'll be happy to engage and discuss your requirements and ensure that your individual needs are met in whatever capacity you feel best supported.
